HiMy hubbie and I are looking to get life assurance and critical illness cover for 43K - part of our mortagage that is repayment. We are 33 and 34 and term is 17 years. Martins article about life assurance said policies should not be reviewable but I am not sure why. Is there anything else I should watch out for? Thanks

Reviewable plans can have their premiums reviewed every 5 years. So, you run the risk of premiums going up if claims start to increase. Something that happened a few years back. Guaranteed plans give you certainty.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
