BBC News: UK's First Hydrogen car filling station
Petrol Price has reached another record level, good news is broadcasted by BBC this afternoon that Researchers in the Midlands have set up a filling station for their pollution-free hydrogen cars. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7351915.stm
Two different websites www.water4cars.co.uk and www.runyourcarwithwater.co.uk claim the technology is available, and can easily Convert Your Car to Run on Water and gas to save over 40% on fuel costs! Is it time for Top Gear TV program to have a live experiment to check whether it works or not.

Those websites sell you the info. Putting it into practice is a whole lot more expensive and difficult. I suspect it would work but wouldn't be worth it.0

Just click the link below to see BMW's hydrogen car powered by liquid hydrogen:

You're absolutely right, that's why I think viewers of moneysavingexperts should write to Top Gear TV program and the gang of four to do something positive to the environment and every struggling UK car owners by doing a live TV experiment based on the instructions of these websites after all it's quite easy for Top Gear team to do the conversion rather driving and racing large powerful cars to see which one will have the best performance. Those websites sell you the info. Before we all get to excited about zero emissions hydrogen powered cars we should all go find out where they get the hydrogen from and how?
95% of the worlds hydrogen comes from processing mineral fuels, this idea does nothing at all for vehicle emissions, it just changes there point of origin-0 -
who cares as lnog as to fill it with fuel and running its cheaperBefore we all get to excited about zero emissions hydrogen powered cars we should all go find out where they get the hydrogen from and how?

Lol... well I'm in Norway at the moment, working with an oil company in Stavanger. And at the local petrol station next to their offices, they have a hydrogen pump and another pump for another alternative fuel but it escapes me. Anyhow, on all the times I have gone past it, I haven't seen a vehicle use it unfortunately, and everyone is still driving their 'gas guzzling' cars. The forecourt always has petrol/diesel cars filling up. It will be a long time till it catches on on a large enough scale unfortunately. Still, a step in the right direction!0 -
It seems to me everyone cope well with another record high of petrol price. Wait and do nothing, the price of petrol will go $200.0

An alternative method of producing hydrogen which does not rely on an external power source

We have a while to wait for this yet I think.
I've read articles that say even in 2018 hydrogen for hydrogen fuel cell cars as a primary fuel source will still be too expensive. It's down to electric / petrol or diesel hybrids with plugging your car in overnight for recharging as the next big step I think.0 -
Ah yes, but how is the electricity produced......??0

Apparently, according to someone I know doing studies on this, the CO2 footprint is lower, can be reduced more easily and is more easily controlled with centralised power generation from a national grid which over time is increasingly supplied by renewables and nuclear power.Ah yes, but how is the electricity produced......??
There is no easy answer...0
