Property in Ibiza?

The wife has persuaded me to look into leaving the UK and live in Ibiza in the next few years.
We have had a search on google, but all we seem to get is new apartments and million euro villas, lol.
Now we would be looking for something old and that possibly needs updating preferably in an old part of Ibiza and it must be at least a 2 bed place but not an apartment.
Does anyone know of some respectable websites where we can find more info on this and decent estate agent sites to look at.
Many thanks.

Why don't you have your summer holiday there this year and have a bit of a scout round?0

No help really apart from good luck. I go to Ibiza every year (for the last 12 years) and I love it. Wish that I had the guts to do it.
Hope it works out
Enjoy I no i would.0 -

Thanks,
Yes we should be visiting in August if things go as planned. Would be a good time to check out all the old Ibiza houses.0 -
House prices in Spain are falling through the floor... they are well ahead of us in HPC terms... it may well be worth waiting a few years. Sell up in the UK, convert your cash to euros and rent for a few year till things settle down.
Don't take out amortgage in euros if you're paid in pounds as the exchange rate is tanking... people who bought holiday homes with euro mortgages in the last few years are getting thrashed as the £ has lost 25% against the euro in 6 months.
Also note that jobs in Ibiza are highly seasonal... mid October to mid may the island is a ghost-town.
In the summer Ibiza is full of !!!!!! up tourists, and in the winter the weather is crap.Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.0 -
You might like to google for an ex-pats forum and find your way into the Ibiza board, see if anybody there's got any contacts/links etc.
Read the comments from those who are returning to the UK to see if their woes/concerns match yours or if they were clearly just not cut out for the move.

They only do that to blend in with tourists in the summer. In the winter they all turn into Mormons.Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.0 -
