in Credit cards
Hi all
I have never had a credit card before and I only want one now as a 'just in case' so I can pay bills etc if I really really need to and don't have the cash. HSBC has pre approved me for a credit card and I can earn £25 from cashback kings. The only thing is I most likely will not use the credit card, I hardly ever use my debit card, will I incur any charges if I never use the card? It may sound like a daft Q to all you card savvy folks but I really have no idea and I don't want to have to pay for something I'm not using. As I said, I just wanted it as a safety net, just in case a very finacial rainy day comes for us this year......
Thanks:beer:

Unless it actually states that there is an annual fee then the answer is no.0 -

do bear in mind that some CC companies will close a card that is not used.
so it might be better to use the CC occasionally (say whenever you buy petrol or whatever), set up a DD for the full amount so you don't forget to pay.
In addition this will improve your credit rating too.EU tariff on agricultual product 12.2%

mommamoney, having looked on HSBCs website at the smallprint for the account it looks like you will not have to incur any charges. If you are not using the account often remember to keep an eye on the rates and terms and conditions incase they change.0 -
