Did you recieve a copy of the offer? As far as I am aware if you had recieved it they were honouring it.Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

Sorry but if they have not issued a mortgage offer to you, then they can change their criteria.
However, I would suggest that you write to C&G directly, detailing the dates when your application was submitted and that you feel that you have been unfairly treated.
If you made a full written mortgage application they may review your case.
Unfortunately lenders are changing their minds about lending on a daily basis at the moment.
Best of luck, I spent 6 years of my working life with C&G so appreciate what you are dealing with...the 'old' C&G (before Lloyds made it a shell of what it now is) would have honoured the deal you had arranged....:A Born a Saint, always a Saint!I am a Mortgage Adviser

Our Mortgage company C & G had agreed a 95% mortgage on the new house we are buying, but after two weeks of waiting for them to instruct a survey, they have withdrawn the offer and now are only giving us a 90% mortgage. Can they do this?
Maybe credit score related that. That's just reminded me i haven't claimed my exit fees back yet with c & g, need to do it asap before they run out of money0
