AOL and AVG free?

Hiya
My sister has asked me to help her set up broadband on her new computer. She will be using aol and if I don't sort an antivirus etc for her, she probably won't do it herself.
I'm wondering if avg free will run ok with aol or, if not, if there is another free antivirus that will.
I would also welcome advice on any free firewalls and anti spyware that she can use.
OS is xp home btw

Zone alarms not a bad free firewall, Anti-Vir is a decent free AV.0

Thanks for that
I was unsure as I seem to recall there being some probs for aol users when I first began using avg - but that was a good while ago - and I didn't want to download something that would affect her pc.
