Sole trader name?

I'm a sole trader and I've just thought of a great name for myself. But I'm not sure if I can use it - it's 'The XYZ Company' - obviously it's not XYZ but I don't want to tell you what it is in case someone steals it Can I use the word 'company' even though I'm not Ltd?
