  • Went to the Liverpool one today and they were BRILLIANT!!!!!!

We were having a day out anyway so splashed out. I had Chicken and bacon Baguette, my hubby had southern fried chicken wrap with a side portion of chips and we got my 2 year old a kids meal (4.75) He had sausage and mash (and he got 2 huge sausages!!! ) and chocolate ice cream (3 scoops) and a fruit shoot. We also had 2 pints of lemonade. The bill was 13 quid after the vouchers were used. they had no problem taking them, and the service and hospitality was fantastic!!!

We loved it so much that we're gonna get some more and go again soon!!! Besides... without the voucher we wouldn't have even considered going and spending 13 quid at all... so it's a win win for us both!!!!!

Visited York yesterday, with our Daily Mail special offer rail tickets, so my friend & I, both OAPs, printed Slug & Lettuce vouchers, and had Chicken Wraps, and drank tap water, for 95p each. No problems exchanging vouchers, and stretched our meagre pensions even further! Thanks also for the tip about £1 Greggs Oval Wrap vouchers. Had them for the journey home. And the 20% off Bite Me card, which we used at Railway Stations for coffee!

    Sandrascarlett,

I didnt know the Bite card existed and I'm always buying coffees so I've just applied for one, so thanks to you!
  • I want to use these branches for the S+L in oxford, but on the list of branches it wasnt on the list.

Does this mean its exempt from the offer or just forgotten? Trying to sign up to any other town has the name printed on it, and they wont accept these?

If they can do it all over the country, why not this one?

  • Hi guys

please note that if 2 people try and use 2 vouchers for a sharing platter - only 1 voucher wil go through - i tried this on Saturday and it didnt work, even though the voucher clearly states "1 per person" and NOT 1 per meal.

    This is wrong and unfair

They took two vouchers (one each) no problems, but the service and food were poor. Over 40 minutes for food. Dry garlic bread, slightly soggy onion rings, roughly 20 peas in an underfilled sauce pot. Mustard/pepper/ketchup promised by waiter but not delivered etc. and it wasn't even busy.
Even with the vouchers I thought our meals were pricey for what we received!

Have visited three of these. Twice we ordered a sandwich and had to wait well over an hour for the food. No problems with accepting the vouchers although we did point them out when ordering so that they could put the orders through separately. At the third we tried to order breakfast but were told that they didn't serve any food until afternoon (despite breakfast being listed in the menu:confused: ).

If the vouchers are supposed to entice people to return then they aren't doing very well with either the service or the food.

Will have to try a few more to see if I've just been unlucky so far;)

I used my voucher in York along with a friend and they accepted them fine - We just had to ask for the bill to be split and then they knocked £5 off each meal so it only cost me £2.70 which was great!
  • Be careful with this one - i tried to use 2 vouchers for me & my girlfriend and we had a sharing platter - but because it was only 1 plate of food, the till would only input 1 voucher not both, even though the voucher clearly states "1 voucher per person" and NOT 1 per meal !!!
    Great food though !
