    The Times 28th March:-

The high street pub business controlled by property investor Robert Tchenguiz - which includes the Yates, Slug and Lettuce and Litten Tree chains - has collapsed into administration after failing to find a buyer for about 90 loss-making bars within the 330-site group.
Some 239 of Laurel Pub Company's pubs and restaurants were immediately bought back from administrators yesterday in a deal financed by between £50m and £60m of credit provided by Tchenguiz. About 90 sites will remain under the control of the administrator, Kroll.

Hi everyone...first-time poster! I'm doing a course in London at the moment and I'm obviously soooo out of touch with prices for coffees and lunches, etc. I am frequently surprised at the cost for what is , basically, a burger in one form or another, or those wrap things, never mind a more substantial meal. (I'm not really keen on burgers anyway...a generational thing?!?). So have registered and am looking forward to using my voucher!

  • Great spot. Cor, just signed up though and they only give you two weeks validity. Will have to sign up again using a different email address closer to the next time I'm going shopping in Cheltenham.

    Thanks OP.

  • I'm going for lunch on Sat with my daughter aged 8... we went once before and she LOVED it! There were lots of people with buggies and so I would say that at lunch times it is child friendly...

Just took a look on the website and there is a childs menu- £3.95...

    Enjoy!

  • Yep they are child friendly. Took my little girl (1 year old) in yesterday and used my voucher. I think their policy is that kids are welcome up until 7pm. Check out their website, it'll let you know what time kids are welcome in your local Slug.
