Cleaning plaster from floor tiles

Hi,
I recently had my kitchen walls re-plastered but it's left a film on the floor tiles which I can't get rid of.
I've tried various cleaners but none have really worked. Once the tiles dry, the milky white film returns.
Any ideas, anyone?

Has the plastering only just been done?
I've found plaster dust continues to cover everything for a good few weeks after it's been done - you just have to keep cleaning unfortunately :-/
If not, if they are coloured tiles try hot water and soda crystals (most supermarkets sell them or try somewhere like Wilkos) in a bucket and get down on your hands and knees with an old fashioned scrubbing brush (you can get them from Wilkos) using an old toothbrush on the grout.
If they are (or should be) bright white try bleach (don't use it on coloured tiles though because it could take the colour out).
And, in future insist your plasterer uses dust sheets on the floor! (I learn't this the hard way too and my knees still have the blisters)
HTHWhen life hands you a lemon, make sure you ask for tequilla and salt0 -
Give the floor a good clean with flash - when dry scrunch up some greaseproof paper in to a ball (not to tight) then rub all over the floor tiles- hopefully this will get rid of the residue- also works well after grouting wall and floor tilesIt's nice to be Important
But It's Important to be nice0 -
Not had much joy with those ideas
Any more suggestions while I just about have a grip on my sanity?0 -
It sounds like your tiles are unglazed and if they are, the only thing I can surgest is useing a Steam cleaner, but if its in the pores of the tile you will not remove it ( :(Sorry)0
