TBH you're better to phone the store but it depends on which manager takes the call. I've had loads of compliments and got nothing except for when a different manager took the call and she made me a wee gift bag of samples.

Hi, hope some can help. My mum wants a cream from boots that my store doesnt have (tri-aktiline) and will have to do on line. It costs 24.99. So i can take advantage of this amount of money on her switch, and pay the difference if there is anything nice me!! what can i buy to boost my points or get free p and p etc. I have a 10 week baby so baby products would be good, ot something nice for me. I have had a horrible horrible day so would be nice to know i have got something for very little. many thanks for your help in advance. xx
Don't forget they are part of the 3for 2 on skincare so for an £49.98 you would get 3. I was looking at getting some to ebay, but tbh i shouldn't buy more to ebay stuff until i get rid of what i have.
I have a tendancy to overspill into my mothers house sometimes as it's bigger and i live in a flat.
Unfortunately i had to bring a lot of it home today as They are having a clear out.
Oh face was a pic when lots of boots bags came in, along with the rest of my to ebay stash.:eek:0 -

i saw the boots 'rose water' bottles today. they are with all the other skincare stuff. They are in a bottle that says "Boots Rose Something Something" on them. The complete range include cleansing lotion and moisturizer as well.
Can someone please elt me know if they are any good? I'm stocking up on facial skincare at the moment...seeing that its 342. If you can let me know by tomorrow noon, it will be great.
Hi penniesforme. Was it Damask Rose that you saw? This is a very old fashioned product which has been around for a long time, and may not appeal to the younger generation. (It was around when I was a girl, and that was a long time ago BTW)It has been remarketed by Boots.
I think the pharmacy product you may be looking for is Glycerine & Rosewater. A wonderful natural skincare agent. Very cheap and often made up by the pharmacist. It too has been around a long time, but has stood the test of time, and it forms the basis for a lot of the more expensive skincare products~ What goes around comes around ~0 -
geordie_lass wrote: »That could have been me, I used to buy Glycerin and Rosewater from Boots pharmacy years ago. It's possible that they would still be able to make it up for you, could be much cheaper than buying it in the cosmetic range. The most expensive part then was the bottle but if you returned it later they would refill for just the cost ofthe ingredients. If you do it this way then be sure to keep it in the fridge as there are no preservatives added.
As to whether it's any good, yes I would say it was, it's just a mild astringent which restores your skins pH, the branded versions often contain isopropyl (alcohol) as a preservative so can be a little harsher, possibly some colourings too.
hth
You beat me to it geordie_lass. I had almost forgotten about glycerine & rosewater, till I read that post. I am sure it is still available though. Imagine the Health & Safety issues now if you went into Boots with your old bottle for a refill :rotfl:~ What goes around comes around ~0 -

i always thaught electrical goods are guarenteed for 12 months.
Worth a try taking them back to see what they say, especially for £100 pair.i would bring someone with me if it was me so i feel alot more braver with the confruntation of a sales assistant if i have moral support0 -

Noticed a couple of recall notices instore today on straighteners, they are on .com too here0 -
Now I know why glycerine & Rosewater was so cheap to buy, just found the recipe for it here, if anyone wants it.
Cannot find it on Boots site though.~ What goes around comes around ~0 -

I bought a camera for £100, using points, about a year ago. Just before we went away after Easter, my daughter told me there was a problem with the camera. I could not find the receipt, so I rang up CS. They confirmed the purchase and gave me a reference number to take into store in case I had a problem. I was told I could have an exchange to the value, or greater. I took the camera back into store, and they could not have been more helpful. Fortunately, from their limited range of cameras, we found one.
If I had no problems without a receipt, you should not have any with a receipt.0
