To you girls that told me about saturday jobs.......

I just got confirmation of a 'group assessment' at the new JOHN LEWIS in Leicester!!!!!

Anyone know what a self schedule group assessment is??

It's an interview technique where all the candidates are locked  (well, maybe not actually locked) in a room with a "situation" and a time limit - you're usually given a written brief, where you are the group who can deal with it. they watch for team work, group dynamics, how people "care" or not for others, who speaks most, who says nothing, the idea generators, the idea improvers, the leaders etc etc.

They're designed to be more realistic than the psychometric and Belbin type tests. The ones I've done all go through the classic group working stages: form, storm, reform and perform. I find them a strange form of fun, but I'm quite odd, so people tell me!

    Good luck.
Slowly getting organised enough to actually write a signature...:rotfl:
Boots points: £72.75 when I lost it lol Tesco points 2140
    Pigsback £4.65 MSF £3.41

I had this at a Debenhams interview ( which I got the job but since left & can't stand the store )

    Basically as Iodhadh said.
Our scenario was that we crashed on the desert, listed the items we had available to us & left us to discuss the outcome.

I chatted loads & encouraged some to walk & try & get help, wrong move but showed I was able to persuade people to change their minds ( go for a store card despite the fact they never wanted one)
If you have a plastic liner ( one of our items ) you can store your pee in it & use to avoid dehydration...I know but hey madonna looks good & she tried it in the past.

    Good luck.

Oho, I've done one of these. I was stuck in a room with five gung-ho Indiana Jones types who as it turned out could barely read a compass, let alone a map. Was fun. I beat them into submission eventually......:D

On a Boots note, has anyone tried to see if the 342 skincare offer is still on? Would be worth generating a £5 voucher if so...then going round a few times. I actually need...yes, NEED....a pot of moisturiser, so am going to check out the Time Delay. Any recommendations? (Skin fairly normal but getting on a bit, no particular allergies.)

LOL re your interview. Threw me completely.

Anyway Boots related the skincare specialist in my store is lovely. Very knowledgeable regarding my skin, what to use, how often etc etc.

They float around the skincare isles so I'd have a chinwag & see what she says.
I haven't tried the TD moisturiser as I have pots of Olay still to use ( have 2 left I think )

Just as an aside...I decided to give the Boots Overflow Stockroom (ie the left hand side of my wardrobe) a quick tidy up just to check for stray pots of moisturiser and found...no, not ten XL pots of moisturiser, but £40 in tenners that I must have stuck there and forgotten about.

    :j :j :j

Plenty of small sample pots of moisturiser from various GWP as well, so might take the opportunity to use some of them up and find out what I actually want to buy!
