Restricting "guest" account

I know how to remove shortcuts from the start menu or desktop of the guest account in XP professional, but is there a way to fully deny the guest account access to individual programs, along with the "run..." command and control panel? This is a single, stand-alone PC, no network.

This site shows you how to do it:

It says that you shouldn't disable the guest account because of possible networking problems, but I use user-level network permissions (i.e. "simple file sharing") and I've never had any problems with the Guest account being disabled.

Interesting article, thanks. However, I actually want the guest account turned on because someone is housesitting for me soon, and I want them to be able to use my broadband and MS Office, but nothing else - i.e not be able to fiddle about with the settings of windows or any other programs.

Why not just setup a new restricted account instead?

Can I place more restrictions on a named account than I can on the guest account, then?

    Have a play around in: Start > Run > control.exe userpasswords2
