They won't do it the first month, they assume you over looked paying the first month which they have to the way the post is but you will start getting computer generated letters.

Hi , thanks.Got a bit of a problem. Was due last week and made payment via phonebanking but it did not go through as they said address didnt match even though its been the same for about 20 years. Payment stayed earmarked to go out and it took til monday for them to unearmark it and put it back in my current account for me to repay over the counter. I could use the money at the moment but a bit worried they will take it before next wed as other income wont go to new account til the week after. If they take it i will go over od limit and could poss lose income to cover od

dont leave it to chance LLoyds will take it when they feel like it and have no compunction about racking up charges on your account and then you get into a downward spiral which is difficult to get out of,

I don't mind you pming me.

I have dealt with Lloyds two credit cards and a current account while setting up a DMP, if that helps you with what questions to ask.

Just looked through my file from two years ago. When I was setting up my DMP.

I went at least two months without making a payment and nothing was taken out of the Lloyds current account. I personally would not push it to the two months but if this is the first month you have not paid and you are setting up your new bank account up right now then fine. I would rather pay all the money out of your old bank account into a new one so its safe and send a token payment in a week or twos time to Lloyds credit card.

Hi still wondering if anyone had payment taken out of LLoyds current account recently to pay a missed min payment on LLoyds cc Wondering how soon after the cc payment was due b4 they took it out of current account. Also did they let you know in writing first. My current account is in authorised od but will go over the od limit if they do take it.

Rayday thanks for all the advise you have helped a lot but i was wondering if this had happened to anyone more recently
  • Lloyds did not notify me in writing. When I was setting up my DMP, even though they were aware of it, they still took the minimum payment from my account as soon as I went 2 months non-payment, although they only took 1 month's payment

Also, due to something that wasn't my fault, payplan underpaid Lloyds by £18 when I was around 8 months into my DMP, and they took that out of my account when it was only a few days late, even though I explained to them that payplan were in the process of paying them, so they got that £18 twice.

Sorry - all of that was a while ago, but please don't leave anything to chance. You need to protect your money - Payplan were insistent I got a different account due to the possibility of offset. It was the best advice I had from them
