Interest Free Period - Query

in Credit cards
Good morning Folks of the Forum - I have a question:
I am a credit card tart - and proud of it!! However, I took out the Buy and Fly Credit Card in September last year on a 6 months interest free balance transfer. The offer ended on 26 March 2008. My statement came through on 10 March stating an outstanding amount of £4,000 with a payment due date of 7 April. As I knew my 0% offer was coming to an end, I paid the £4,000 in full which was credited to the card on 3 April. Therefore, paying it in full by the due date.
However, just received this months credit card statement with a interest charge of £14.54 - I have just phoned them and they said as the 0% offer came to an end on 26 March, the interest charge is from 27 March - 3 April.
But, surely, as they credit card statement stated payment due by 7 April and I paid on 3 April - no interest charges should be charged.
I would welcome the Forum's comments,please.
Thanks
Sandy

Nah, it's right that they would have charged you from the end of the interest period - the actual day and date. I guess it isn't a large amount though? Could be worse!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 784 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0
