The status of that button is indicated by an LED under the screen (furthest left I think). There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

On my hubbies fujitsu I had to turn on the wireless adapter deely by pressing the "function" button which is somewhere bottom left of the keyboard and the "F1" button (It has a little picture of an antenna on it) I think it was together.
Once I did that I could connect to the network.0 -
sorry its took so long to get back to you but had to go out.....thanks to you all who replied....
right - i realised about the connection so i managed to turn wireless on and i restored the computer backwards so internet explorer was now showing up again....
it is just the network discovery button wont let me turn it on and find available networks...but, i was told to plug the laptop straight into my connection downstairs to do this - it worked.....so now i have to fath about and find my network connection but, it isnt finding it.....
