silvercar,
I don't necessarily need a tenant but the house is three bed and i am used to house share so why not? It makes total sense and i can keep saving. Plus the seller will leave all the content in the property so i am not rushing out to buy everything on no pay for 2 years deals...

I stopped buying a house because houses are overpriced and at the start of decemeber they started to drop... So i made a decision then to not even bother looking... Im living in rented and fuelling my deposit at the moment... living frugally with a plan.
Yes everyone situation is not the same but I Implore you, you'd be throwing away 10-15% of your house prices worth down the drain so you could get in it soon. Also 100% is very risky.. if you lost your job it would be very very bad..0 -
Nease,
Why is 100% is very risky if you lost your job? Why is it worse that any other 95%, 90%, 80%, ect.. mortgage aren't they all bad if you lose your job?0 -
Abbey have allocated your money on the deal already. when i got my +0.25% BOAE tracker approved last year they held it with numerous changes after the product was withdrawn0

sas1 - you go for it!
sounds like you really like the house, and with your husband being in the trade you will be able to renovate it to a good standard.
100% mortgage is risky, I agree.. but it sounds like this lady wants a home of her own, not an investment, a home..
Life isn't all about how much money you can make or save, it's about living and enjoying yourself.
Go for it!

Hey G-G,
What happaned why did you go bankrupt? If you don't mind me asking?
Hi TBeckett100, I guess you got it at the end with higher % rate?0 -
Can you be a mortgage advisor and a bankrupt? I didn't think the FSA would go for that.
Definitely agree about a house being a home not an investment. It's thinking otherwise that keeps getting us into this house price pickle.0 -
ignore neas - he is very bias0
