Hi guys
Back in Jan for the period 08 December 2007 - 07 January 2008 on the 1st of January I received a late payment fee.
As per my previous statement 08 November 2007 to 07 December 2007 it says -
'If you make the minimum payment of £ 25.00 and it reaches us on the due date of 01 JAN 2008, your estimated interest is yadda yadda ya'.
Now on the 8th December, the day the billing period after the old one starts, ebuyer credits my account with £178 yet on the 1st Jan 08 I get slapped with this fee.
I have paid up haven't I? Thanks in advance for your responses.

I can't say I understand the logic in that, thanks though.
One other question, do balance transfers count as a payment or is that too unless the balance is cleared?0 -
OK, I appreciate your quick responses. I think I'll give them a call to just be sure on the balance transfers; don't want to get stung for £24 or so if it happens to not be across the cards.
I'll post the situation once they confirm (Paypal and Tesco, ie GE Capital and RBS).0 -
I suspect its going to be down to those dreaded T&C again and the card operator company.
I know in the past that Egg have deducted a refund from the payment due when that refund has happened between statement date and payment date so.....
However I think as a general rule no it won't count as a payment.
Balance transfer should count as a payment as it is a payment into the account from elsewhere not connected to any other transaction on the account.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -
Refunds count as payments for Barclaycard Platinum
