Any one plumbers/gas fitters tell me how old this fire is,trying to get the
council to upgrade this horrible huge fire it`s about 5 feet wide.

I think they were made from 1977-1997 but not 100% certain.
If it is faulty then they will have to change it, might be worth ringing them and telling them that it goes out every now and then for no reason and that it makes you tired and feel sick!
The gas engineer might decide to fit you a new one lol0 -
