samsung TV remote problems

My Samsung LE37R7 has developed problems.
Some of the buttons on the remote will not work also the channel display ie Bravo etc which normally disapears after 10 secs stays on
What is the problem?
Does my remote need reseting?
if so how do i do it

have they stopped working all at once? are they regular use buttons if yes to 1 then spillage into remote? or if no then the buttons have worn and can sometime be rejuvinated with some isopropyl you can also get some special conductive paint (not the auto stuff) to repair them with.
you could also have dropped the thing one cracked track could take a number of buttons out.
Why not look up a cheap universal remote make sure your model covered and that should help.
As for display thing could be a setting in the menus...?

Outside possibility you are in the service menu but I can't help you their and unlikely anyway.
