Virtual PC 2007 Question

Hi,

I have created 3 Virtual PC systems under vista.
Windows XP Pro
Windows 2000
Ubuntu Version 8.04

I have assigned 1GB Ram to Each as I have 4GB's onboard, my question is this, and it should be simple, does Virtual PC keep that Memory reserved while I am not running this alternative operating systems or not?

if you are going to run ubuntu, use VMware server as i couldnt get VPC to work with it properly.

I prefer VirtualBox over VMWare. From the benchmarks I've read it runs faster in terms of hard drive I/O and memory I/O. Nice and easy to install to (well in Linux it is).

I cannot get version 7 to work or 8 but 6.06 works perfectly well.
