Yep i've been on both Mesalazine and Pentasa in the past.

I forgot to say you do know how much each does of Infliximab costs don't you?;)
I was the first to be given it for Crohn's in my hospital as it's so dear. They use it all the time for Arthritis.

    Apparently it's £800 a time:eek: But I'm worth it.;)

I had taken steroids for years and it had thinned my bones but they gave me Fosamax and my bone density is back to normal. I'm taking Azathioprine but it isn't working well enough, hence the Infliximab.

I hated Azathioprine as i always had colds and felt under the weather, agian never worked for me i felt.

I was told it was more like £1600 each course and found something like that to back it up online. My Dr said it would cost about £12k for the year for me.

Have a look at this under costs

All this talk of mesalazine and steroids is bringing back memories... I suffered from UC for three years but after lots and lots of surgery am feeling much better so for anyone who has to go down that route please don't worry too much. I never knew there were so many of us :D
