Hi,
I am trying to change my default e-mail from Outlook Express 6, to Hotmail.
Fine, I have done the Tools > Internet Options > Programs and changed it to Windows Live Mail, but when I try to send anything by right clicking, it keeps asking for 'loginnet.passport.com', and when I log in I get 'Fatal Login Error. hr = 80041500, f = 1'. Username and password are correct, and had no problem when using OE.
Any ideas, thanks.

I'm not up on Hotmail but I think that it is webmail only except if you have an older .com address.
To use windows live you have to pay, but am willing to be corrected!Move along, nothing to see.0 -
hi, I was just about to post the exact same question when I came across this. Mine is the same. I've set my default as windows live mail, but any web links open up MS passport. Dont want this. The above link is only good for XP, but I have Vista. Any other ideas?:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0

Windows Mail doesn't support Hotmail
But you can get an extension to Thunderbird that supports Hotmail (and most other forms of webmail)
