npower bill
Hi folks new to the forum
Ive just recieved my 3 month gas bill with npower, we moved into the property 3 mths ago.
Well we only pay about 10pounds a week for the electric with npower where most of our energy comes from, heating, power all electric.
But we have a gas cooker and we didnt get the cooker until feb, so the bill would be for 2 months usage with the cooker.
But the bill is for £283, theres is only 2 of us so the cooker isnt used that much.
reading start was 6829 to 7125
this cant be right can it?

First thing to check is whether the reading is an estimate.
If it is accurate, then you could just make a note of the reading before and after using the cooker (okay its a bit of hassle), but you'll then soon understand why you have the readings you do.0 -
also worth checking they are billing you in the correct units for your gas meter (some are metric, some are imperial I believe)
HTH
MPI have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.

Similar situation, to me... In a way!!! I am paying 11pm... Just got a letter today saying going to increase it to are you waitng yes £78pm....
They always over estimate!!!!!!!! I have called them i told them i am only going t pay 35pm... They said okay, i asked how they arrived at that figure and guess what they estimated it.....
Please double check everthing.. On the other hand i have both gas and elec with them and have just recieved £80 credit by paying direct debit last yr..
Just keep them on their toes!
