Garage scaremongered my elderly mum for car repairs...advice on selling car please!

As long as it's parked generally off the public road, then it doesn't need to be insured.
If it is driven somewhere on the TP cover provided by eCar, and then stolen/crashed into, the vehicle although parked is still in use by the person who parked it so would be covered on the TP extention.
That is my opinion of it, and that is how I'd use the cover in that situation.0 -
i dont think its about how you would use the cover,i think its about how the insurance company offers the cover.they may make your insurance invalid....work permit granted!0

eCar don't insist that the car is insured to use the tp drive any car cover, so all the other car needs to be is in your mums name or similar.
A one month policy on the car once a year buys tax.
And (I think) the tp cover would be in force whilst parked as the car is still be used by the other driver, this is a grey area I don't understand
It is a grey area (at least as far as I ‘m concerned) but I’ve always gone the other way
My cover is “driving other cars” so I’ve always assumed that if I wasn’t actually in the car then it wasn’t covered by my policy.0
