Have Abbey ripped me off?

I just got my annual renewal letter from Abbey for buildings insurance. They have put up the premium, due to a claim last year for a tile that fell off my roof in the high winds. Its says the repair cost £632! Surely that cant be right? The tile didnt even break as it fell on the grass, so it was just nailed back into place taking about 5 minutes to do.
Ive been fuming about it all day! Is it worth complaining to Abbey? There is no way I'm renewing with them now!

Thats steep, how long did it take him?Did they send out a surveyor first?
Check the comparison sites-you are bound to find someone cheaper anyway.
It might be worth asking them if there has been a typo.0 -
how did they get on the roof to nail the tile back?Tallyhoh! Stopped Smoking October 2000. Saved £29382.50 so far!0

Remember the total cost of the claim includes claim administrator + loss adjustor + risk assessment + access, not just 5 mins labour and the cost of 1 nail. I'd imagine they can show you where the money went if you want them to.0
