I'm on IB, my OH is going onto pension credit soon. If they take my IB off me, what do we do then? Can he claim for me on pension credit and I just dont earn anything ? I had an IB50 recently and am having kittens in case they say I'm fit for work because I'm not.

Yes should you be knocked off IB your OH will be able to claim for you and you shouldn't lose any money. As a couple you will be entitled to £189.35pw. You will get this amount should you remain on IB so either way your income wont change and either way entitled to H/B and Council tax Benefit.Forums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.0

Because Gordon Brown has stopped the 10% Tax Band so everyone on a low income now has to pay 20% tax on it instead of 10%.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
Something that the Pension Service do not tell you that may be relevant to you is that the tax you pay on State Pension should be deducted when working out entitlement to Pension Credit.0
