Where can I get a copy of Microsoft Access from?

I recently bought a new laptop, which has Windows Vista pre-installed on it. I have an Edition of Microsoft Office 2000 but it does not include Access, which is something I use often for work.
Does anybody know a good way of acquiring a copy of it cheaply? I could get an illegal copy from a friend but I would rather do things above board.
Many thanks,
Lenny.

For the student version you need a ".ac.uk" email address.
Your employer may be a member of Microsoft's "Home Use Programme" which gets you the full office 2007 for ~£18.
Failing that you(or work) are going to have to buy a retail copy which is about £140 for just Access or you could try eBay for a legit copy of Office 2000..0 -

The site states you dont need one.
"No student card, student e-mail address or student id required. Just login, pick your software and checkout!"0 -

Are they really? Because in the FAQ your school/college has to be listed, or you have to contact them... http://www.software4students.co.uk/FAQ.aspx
If not, I suspect it'll be a licence document, which you have to get signed (by a tutor/school) and returned to Microsoft who will then send the media.0 -
Goto PC World and buy a copy, they don't seem to care if you are a student or not.0

The uni email is for the ultimate steal version which I've got.
My dad however managed to get a deal from his work like you mentioned, ended up with the same amount of software he even paid less. Damn annoying; although I don't use half the stuff it came with.0 -
If you do have an .ac.uk address you're better off getting Office 2007 Ultimate for £39 from www.theultimatesteal.co.uk. Not only are there more apps included but it's the retail license so it's valid forever after you leave college/uni etc."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

This one will last forever too:
"Will my software still belong to me when I leave school or college?
Yes, the license offered to you by Microsoft is a perpetual license and does not expire when you cease to be a student. You can still use the products after you graduate or leave college."
but yes if you do have a .ac.uk address the ultimate would be better especially at £39 :beer:0 -

Completely off topic but which A levels are you going to do?"She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
