Hi everyone
I checked out this site as my partner is currently in the process of reclaiming bank charges and thought i might try for some advice here on our problems.
Any advice would be so so so so appreciated and thank you so much if you decide to take the time to read our dilema. Its a bit of a waffle but we desperately need advice. Really.
PROBLEM 1:
My parents with whom i currently live with are desperately looking to sell their house and move away from our town for a better quality life to say the least!. The problem is that we have the neighbours from absolute hell. Last year we had many problems, including noise from them etc escalating. We reported them several times to the council which they did not like (probably due to them being benefit frauds and drug dealers!.) So things turned nasty. My parents work very hard, always have and have to get up very early in the morning. They made the now obviously terrible mistake of buying the house in this 'area' 12 years ago. Anyway, after problems escalating, three men came round and beat my dad up putting him in hospital. Punched me, my young sister and mum. We all needed stitches or treatment of some sort. They also 'bricked' our windows. They got clean away with it. The police couldn't or wouldn't do anything. My mum and dad are both in their late 50's!. My question is, does my mum and dad have to declare that this incident happened when putting the house up for sale? And how much would they lose because of it? The police and law say it never happened basically right? (as nobody was arrested even, or charged). It was over a year ago now. Also, are the council noise complaints we made still relevant? And if so, how do they affect the sale? As we haven't complained for well over a year now. How do they decide what to do? Because what if a lovely couple with children or something move in and end up being beaten up as we were!?
PROBLEM 2!
Myself and my partner are both living back home with our parents (as stated above), it isn't the nicest of enviroments! Our problem is that we are now desperate to move out but both have poor credit history now and don't know how on earth we are going to find someone to lease us a property!
We absoluely MUST get away from the area as in 8 weeks time we are starting our second cycle of IVF in London and it is so very stressful living in this horrible area. Our first cycle was private and cost quite a lot of money. This second cycle is our NHS cycle and we can't decline it or we will be taken off the list! So we can't postpone it. But its so crucial to get us away from this '24 hours a day' stress and anger trap. We are all in such a horrible mess.
Can we rent a house with poor credit history?? My partner is employed full time and i am self-employed at home.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!

bump for to see if anyone has adviceIt is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
