Hello All,
I was wondering if anyone on here had tried this product and if so what there experiences of it have been.
[font=verdana,arial,helvetica][size=-1][size=+1]Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T USB2
It's basically a Plug & Play USB digital TV receiver for a PC/Laptop.
I am thinking of getting one, but have one main worry - will it be able to receive digital signals through a portable aerial? (My PC is nowhere near an actual aerial socket).
Details on the product can be found here

As long as your indoor ariel can pick up digital signals it should work fine.Sometimes i surprise myself by being right.0

I very much like the look of this product and am thinking of getting one for my laptop when I go to universtiy in a year's time (to avoid lugging a 14" telly from London to Leeds every holiday).
Hauppage have been sort of market leaders in TV cards for years, and I really like the spec of this one. Unless I get a mac this is the one I would get.
BTW it is £87.36 (inc vat and delivery) at https://www.dabs.com (my favourite website for PC stuff) - where have you seen it for sale and is it cheaper than this?0 -
Scrap dabs, £69.90 incl delivery at https://www.amazon.co.uk0

I have a different one but found I needed a very good quality co-axial cable to get it to work properly. Signal was too weak on half the channels with a cheapy co-axial cable. So don't be surprised if an internal aerial doesn't work.
Great bit of kit though...no more vhs and no expensive dvd/hard drive recorder.0 -

Yes I had seen it on Amazon for that price, looks like a decent buy to me.
However, in the light of what Hintza says, I think I might reconsider (PC isn't anywhere near aerial and don't really want yards of co-axial running round the house).
Does anyone currently use a non-digital TV-card that they would recommend??
Thanks.Midas.0
