Arnold Clark

Does anybody know if Arnold Clark takes Credit Cards as part payment to pay for a car?

Want to pay £4k from trade-in, £4k from savings and £4k from a Credit Card (To transfer to 0%)?

Thanks in advance

Haven't a clue but I think i would load my CC with the £4k from savings and just go in bold as brass and give it a try.......bet they will try and wriggle out of it though.

Phone another branch or two and ask?

I was in the exact same situation when I bought a car off them about 18 months ago - they did take credit card BUT charged a surcharge - 1% of the amount IIRC.

    Do not do this

A Large unncessary payment into a credit card will set alarm bells ringing and possibly lead to extended clearence times

Also some credit cards will not be able to be used for more than their credit limit, even if the funds are available on the card in one go

The OP's suggestion sounds ok but check it locally

I get paid 13 times per year so I have a free mortgage payment in Aug as well as my bonus due in July so will pay most of the amount I put onto my CC then - Only reason I am doing it this way.
