Try a hardware reset of your router, although make sure you don't reset it to factory settings! Your router should then request a new ip address. Unplugging the connection (from the router to the rest of the internet) may do the trick too.
Use whatismyip.com to check if it has worked.0 -
If you dont mind me asking, why do u want to change ip? if its a websight thats blocked you, you could allways use a proxy.0

Depends how DHCP is set up with O2. You could reset your router, but it's possible you could get the same IP address back again.
As suggested above, using a proxy may be a better idea depending on why you want to do this.0 -
Turn the router off for a minute and turn back on, reset implies wiping all the settings which is not a good idea.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

It depends on the DHCP lease time on the O2 POP Gateway, it may be 1 hour, 1 day or 1 month, for small lease times switch your modem/router off and leave it for at least 1 hour or more, this may work.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0
