It is regularly taking 3 hard resets before my Dell starts up fully. Is there anything I can run to diagnose the problem?

Sounds like a dying PSU to me. What happens when it fails to boot? Fans spin for a second then it powers down? They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0

I get a single line of text with dell written on it and it doesn't complete the power up. I have not noticed what is heppening with the fan. I'll check next time I switch on. Anything else I need to check?0 -
Could be a loose connection, open the machine up and reseat your peripherals. Graphics card, RAM that kind of thing.0
