Just a quick note. Sadly non of the press coverage came through me - we had a press release all written up to go out - the journalists did it via the email tip obviously - so im very sorry if you've been misquoted, but i didnt even know the stories were happening!

what will you do with 45 packets of roast beef:confused:

I'll put a "what shall I do with 45 packs or roast beef" thread in the Old Style forums. Maybe write a book - 101 uses for 45 packs of roast beef. Eat it all and use my £90 to join Tesco E-Diets to get rid of all the extra weight.
Release it into the wild. Make a beef wellington to keep my feet dry in the winter months.
    The possibilities are endless.

complete with some user names (Tightperson, Anon and Thepearce), as well as a quote attributed to a Tesco spokeswoman: "We have a commonsense approach to bulk-buying. If people were buying ridiculous amounts, we might put a stop to it". :rotfl:

of course, under their total satisfaction policy you could always try one and take the others back for a full refund stating that you didnt like them......not sure if you would get to keep the points though!!

Well today in Tescos as per usual no beef in gravy in the freezer so I thought I would go and check with customer services to see if they had any in the stockroom.

Lady said yes we have 54 and I said yes please I'll take them

She then went on to say that I could only have a max of 6 ,which was fine I can understand why.I then asked if I could order 50 and she said shouldn't be a problem but would have to speak to HO first
After alot of discussion she said that they can't special order these as frozen as they can't garentee they will be picked up.I said i would pay for them upfront but she wasn't having any of it and I had to leave with 6  .

Is anyone else having these problems ?

I need 35 more packs for my dining table

My delivery came tonight, but alas, only 20 instead of 45 "sorry, these products were not available today".

Had hell getting the 20 in the freezer, so probably just as well :-)
  • I went into Tescos tonight looking for the 65p beefs and the whole freezer of birds eye meals had nearly been emptied!!! lol!! Even the more expensive ones!!!!

Looks like the press release is gonna make it even harder to find them now!!! :(

    it's really straight forward:

for each £1 you spend you get one point, 1point = 1penny.
so essentially you are getting 1% cashback on all shopping including instore and online plus petrol.

hence 100points = £1, but if you convert it to deals voucher you will get £4 for each 100points you get so 4% cashback that is!
