On today's daily mail page 5 there's a story The great roast beef stampede.
It's all about the Tesco offer of 150 extra points on 3 ready meals.
Lots of quotes how shoppers have bought large quantities of roast beef and given to charity and homeless.
Quotes one man as buying 10,148 who spent £6596.00 equal to £20,296.00 worth of clubcard deals.
I wonder who that was??????
Another quote of a shopper who has enough vouchers to buy a 3 week holiday to New Zealand.
ha ha where have I heard that before.????
Also talks of the recipe column.
Tesco say the offer ends next Tuesday and if people were buying ridiculous amounts of roast beef they might put a stop to it.
So if anyone still wants roast beef it's been widely publicised now by Daily Mail and looks like the store freezers will be emptying even quicker.

Under the bulk buy policy Tesco would refuse to supply that amount to one person. It would take up a lorry load on its own, where the hell would he put it all???Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

I just quoted from the Mail!
The buyer probably bought them in smaller lots.
He may be the person who has given them away.0 -

However, have you noticed that they are saying that it's the dinner (that comes with veg, pots etc) that is on offer, so it'll be interesting to see if that stock flies off the shelves, leaving the 65p beef for those who have done the sums properly.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Yes.. it is the roast beef dinner the Mail is talking about.
I'm going to T....... later I'll see what's left of either.
There's always been loads in our local store in Herts.0 -
I ordered 45 yesterday for home delivery today - not to be greedy. So does that give me £90 worth of points? I've never taken much notice of the clubcard points before.0
-
45 packs will be £22.50 cc vouchers, so £90 in deals tokens.
If you haven't already, best if you read this thread on tips on home delivery/accumulating points and more

I spoke to the Mail via Martin on the Argos sale last October and was very much wrongly quoted, whatever makes for a better story0
