close accounts or not - charges claims outstanding

I get to pay off my debts on two accounts with smile and one with A & Leicester soon. I have charges outstanding that I have sent letters to claim them back. Do I have to keep these accounts open until the verdict by the court in July 2008 to get them back or can I close them when I pay them off and still get my charges back afterwards??

MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to the Reclaim your Charges board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.Signature removed for peace of mind0
