Sometimes I feel such a failure because I just an incapable of keeping my house tidy- everyone else I know seems to be able to do it. I do i know just need to be ruthless and get rid of stuff that has no purpose in my house and it isn't worth fall out with my oh about some old tat that just needs going. I have new gusto to put some stuff on ebay, freecycle and car boot. In fact going to freecycle some stuff now. thanks again xxx
You are not a failure, we moved house five years ago now and still have boxes in the loft ...I was always going to move out on my own and then circumstances changed, but until recently I was keeping all the stuff I going to use when I moved out .......lots of crap.
Since I came on here I have been slowly clearing out, I painted my room and my room itself is much better ( but it has taken flaming long time) and now I have to "do" the loft and have five boxes for e bay (if I ever get round to taking the photos)
Its really hard and sometimes I feel like its all I am doing, clearing sorting tidying but I think I am almost there.
its really hard when you feel naturally untidy!
Good luck hon

I could have started this thread.
I feel over whelmed by it all.
And flylady doesn't seem to touch it.
Well I don;t keep up with all her tips & flying you see!
Good luck.
Squishy, if you want, we could be tidying buddies! PM me, if that idea don;t sound too silly!

I have been doing flylady for about 3 weeks now. Best thing i ever started my house is far more organised still got a way to go, but i am half way there already. Having to come online and report makes you get on a do it.:o It does definately give you alot more motivation or should i say it has done for me.
Don't get me wrong i have off days where i could just black sack everything, on Monday i was even thinking of skipping the sofa as i am sick of cleaning it and thinking of ways just to start all again by skipping everything and buying new:rolleyes::rotfl: very practical and as we are on MSE website supposed to be saving money i don't think it would have been a good idea!!!!!You can touch the dust but please don't write in it !
Would you like to speak to the man in charge, or the woman who knows whats happening?0 -
Hi,
Do try Flylady - she has changed my life. I spent over 20 years in CHAOS (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome:rotfl: ) wondering how anyone managed to keep a tidy house and now I'm so much better. Got rid of a load of stuff - including a large dresser and huge bookcase from my dining room and all the stuff on/in them!!! I wouldn't say my house is always tidy but it is so much better than it was.
I can usually manage to eat at the table now anyway:D
The morning routine has made the biggest difference and just doing one 'zone' a week (I used to try and do the whole house in a week and then get demotivated cos I couldn't keep up). I get the e-mails and often I've already done the things I'm supposed to do that day! (and I don't read every testimonial as I don't have time but flylady says it's ok to delete!!!) Just take a look....
