Will the people who don't want to do it anymore and the people who have tried to leave pleeeeease phone them up and make sure you are taken off the list. I am one of the people who has a very small from home business (party plan) and joined last month and will post all the letters they want me to just to get the stamps and sticky labels I need to keep my costs down. However I am put on stand by as there are too many people already doing it (or not if all your doing is throwing stuff away) So no stamps and no sticky lables when they are the things I could do with most.
If you can help me please do xx.
Thanks Agarr for being the first to stand up and say exactly what I was thinking. I applied last week and was turned down too.I am pretty flexible to meet posting deadlines and would be happy to do so if given the chance. xx

Please don't worry about being thrown off this, I was with it for four months. In the first two months I got two letters per week to post, then I started getting bombarded with a dozen letters per day.
I was getting all kinds of stuff to post, including stuff with microchips in them so they could be tracked through the post.
It was taking me an hour just to sort out what got posted where and when. The parcels I was getting just got bigger, each day there would be more letters to post and I was getting loads of letters from other people to forward on.
In the end I just stopped posting them and kept the envelopes. Eventually they stopped sending me stuff, but I still have a good supply of stamped envelopes.
There was a thread about it on the referrals board, and most people had the same experience, although a couple claimed it wasn't that bad and it only took 15 minutes per day to sort out what you have to post.
Anyway, the thing that made me laugh was the number of people who were getting stamped envelopes to forward to me and keeping them. They were taking the form out of the envelope, and keeping the envelope, and taking the form to work and using their employers mail system to forward the form to me.
I got loads of them in envelopes that were "government issue" and franked by various government departments. Including the MOD, NHS and the child benefit place in Washington (tyne and wear). It was obvious the people were keeping the envelopes and taking the forms to work to post. Local councils are paying for these forms to be posted too. I also got many from private companies.
The trick seems to be, if you want more than a dozen stamps per month, to keep the envelopes and stamps and take the forms to work to post.
At the time I gave up I fully expected to be able to go onto ebay and find auctions for large quantities of stamped envelopes.0 -

I get loads of prepaid, franked & business envelopes too - I just assumed that they were part of the scheme as I often have to send to businesses.
Surely people posting from work who were supposed to be using stamps would soon get sussed? When you input the received mail it shows if the letter was stamped/franked etc & asks you to confirm that was correct.
You then have to return the received envelopes every week, so they would know the envelopes weren't correct.0 -
There are indeed business panelists as well as private individuals.0

I never had to return any envelopes, although that may be because I missed the instruction. All I had to do was open the envelope and put the contents into a new one and post it on.
I noticed a few where I had to post to a home address, but that person was sending theirs from work. I don't know if they got caught or not, or how long they had been doing it.0 -

True, but how many of them are set up so you post stuff to their home address, but when they post stuff to you it comes in an envelope from a local council?0 -
I try to keep to the timeframe but don't get too worried if I occasionally can't manage it. According to the FAQ #35, "The time of posting and the posting point is not as important as ensuring the item is posted on the day it needs to be and before the last collection time for that box."
While I'm here, does any kind soul please have qn.11. I didn't bother to sign in yesterday, in the apparently mistaken belief that they were retained.0 -

I'm really confused now!
It sounds as though you are/were taking part in a completely different scheme to me!
I don't exchange mail with anyone (i.e. post to someone who posts stuff back to me).
I get a list of when/where to send along with stamped envelopes or prepaid envelopes. Sometimes I have to write the name/address on myself, other times I have to stick a label on.
I have no idea what is going to be sent to me, or who sent it, or where it was supposed to be sent from. It just arrives as & when, then I input the details on the website.
I've always forwarded the envelopes received, including the contents, once a week in the grey plastic prepaid envelope.0
