Royal Mail surveys question

Please can someone advise me about this? I spotted this thread just last night and signed up for the test letters etc. Now I've just received the welcome email saying I will shortly receive some test letters and instructions telling me where and when to post them.
How tight are the timeframes and how far away from home will I be expected to post them? I don't mind a short walk to a nearby letterbox but I'm not prepared to drive into town just to post a letter.
Any info would be much appreciated - thanks.0 -
You choose which box you use, but in addition to a box, you must also give them the nearest post office as well, and much post has to be posted there.
Time frames are usually either morning or afternoon.
As you do this on a voluntary basis, there's no pressure if you decide it's not for you.0 -
Thanks Quentin - that's a relief!0

With regard to timeframes, there tend to be the following instructions:
Before 10am
10am to 1pm
1pm to Final Collection
Before Final Collection (i.e. any time that day up until Final Collection).
If you can't manage a posting one day then you are supposed to do it at the same time on the same day the following week.
Provided you've got easy access to both a post box and a post box outside a post office you should be fine. I have about 8 I use at the moment depending on whether I am at home or at work.Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0 -
I'll just have to see how it goes. Really it's not convenient to get to the post office any later than about 9.30am as the town gets really busy and you won't get parked, so I don't want to go to the post office mid-day. Also, there are two post boxes within walking distance but I'd rather go there when I'm passing them anyway, instead of having to make a special trip.
There are others I could use if I'm in town shopping, but again, I don't want to make a special trip out. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Thanks to everyone for the help though.0 -
Yes, absolutely. My philosophy has always been "I'll do it as long as it's convenient". I've been doing it for about 9 months now and so far it's been fine. If I change where I work though it could be trickier as being in London it's common to live and work in 2 different postal districts which doesn't suit their system as well. Still, it's nice to get the odd voucher and the stamps!
Your first few weeks are all training items so if it doesn't work out, no harm done.Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0 -
Just been dumped by RM! I only signed up a few days ago - was looking forward to getting my free stamps - looks like I won't get anything now! They said they already have enough people in my postcode area.0

I Don't suppose anyone has Question 7 and 10 of the Royal Mail Survey Competition as I missed these due to a going on holiday and no access to a computer on these days..
