They have a 6.5% One year fixed rate account being launched as well.;)

I could be wrong but my gut tells me that 6 months is preferable to 12 now - not because of any banks going bankrupt issues but because I think that inflation is going to be a bigger problem by the end of the year.
I have one 12 monther with the Co-op and whilst I might be glad of it 6 months from now I get the feeling that inflation is going to get worse not better this year.

yes, but it is in 4th place and still behind Birmingham Midshires and Icesave, (and another one I can't remember) so why bother.0 -
