Google Mail ? Problems

My Google mail has been very slow since last night, often displaying this -
"Unable to reach Google Mail. Please check your internet connection."
Has any one else had this problem.

I have been unable to get into Gmail since last night. It sometimes shows a page with a link to an html version but that doesn't load either, and it also says to visit the help centre which also won't load:mad:
Google also seems to be quite slow too.0 -

Googles "CAPTCHA" (security verification where you get some obscured text in a box) has been hacked so there are thousands of accounts being set up an hour and used for spamming. That's having an effect at the moment.0
