    howdy Spud!:hello:

remember the other day I was wondering whether to get the puppy screen cleaner as a treat and some birthday presents with my John Lewis vouchers? The parcel arrived today :D Now my puppy springer has pride of place sitting on the top of my screen and has already had his 'lemon scented' tummy rubbed on the screen already!

go for it jacs - I reckon you'd walk it.

To give you an example of how it is possible to do whatever you are determined to - my ex left school with an O level in History and an O Level in Metalwork (that classic academic combination!) and really wasn't interested in school, other than football. He spent 5 years in an apprenticeship as a metal worker for Vosper shipbuilders and then they didn't take him on when he got to 21.

He decided to go to his local college and did the Access to HE. His English was really, really poor but he persevered and he got it. He then did a Sports Science and History degree (where we met) and then his PGCE - he had wanted to work in Sports equipment development for someone like Nike but there were no opportunities so decided to teach sport. He had to go to Ad. Ed when we were at Uni to does his level 2 maths (and English I guess) before he started his PGCE.

The first job he was offered was Head of PE in a private school here in Poole - and 15 years on, he is still teaching there. And his English is massively better!!!

So, go for it missus - you never know until you try ;)
