Mineral Make up

Where is the cheapest to buy Bare Escentuals foundation
Best so far is ebay at around £16.50 for a large 9g jar
Or is anyone using anything thats as good as Bare Escentuals?
TIA

I like Lily Lolo mineral make-up, it's cheaper than Bare Escentuals at £12 for a 10g pot of foundation. They also do samples very cheaply so you can try before you buy a full pot, but as you only use a tiny amount the samples last ages!

    Hi,

I've not tried it (yet) but Avon have started doing a 100% mineral make up - you can buy online if you don't have an Avon rep and currently there's a special offer on buy 2 get 1 free (from a selection of products)

Avon Personal Match Smooth Mineral Make-Up 15g, £7

PS - if you try this before me - let me know how it goes - I've heard rave reviews about bare escentuals, but not managed to bring myself to spend the money when I already have other stuff at home)

Also, more expensive than the Avon, Maybelline and Revlon have also jumped on the band wagon -

Maybelline Pure Minerals Foundation 9g, £9.99

Revlon ColorStay Mineral Foundation 9g, £12.99

I'm pretty sure that Avon will accept returns if the colour isn't right, or if it doesn't suit your skin, and of course with the one's that are sold in Boots (and other high street chemists) you would be able to try their tester out to see whether it suited you without even having to make a purchase at all.

I have just order 9 things to try from there for under a tenner
I wasnt sure what colours to go for so I went for a selection all mid colour range.
I hope they allow that many samples

  • Okay maybe not the cheapest on the market at £23 for a huge pot including a brilliant brush but this stuff lasts and lasts and lasts. I am a huge fan of mineral makeup and used to subscribe to 'sheer cover' but the Laura Geller balance and brighten stuff is the most natural I've come across yet. I initially got a trial size set from QVC which worked out cheaper but obviously didn't last as long. Bonus with QVC; if you don't like it send it back for a refund.

The product also has really good reviews on the web. It's baked so there's no loose powder spilling anywhere when applying and has a marble appearance as it contains lots of different shades. I find it particularly good on my fairly pale complexion.

There was one much the same on Idela World by Jermone Alexander. That was baked and it looked very good and the complete set was 29.99 with loads of things in it. But I hung around too much and missed out.

I wll keep that one in mind once I have tried all the samples :D
I never thought of other brands on QVC I only searched B.E which as expensive on there
