You will be just a couple of minutes walk from a few great spots including the Crown Bar, Robinsons pub next door and Irene & Nans (out the back door of Robinsons!). You can eat in all of them because, believe me, you will not want to eat in Days! The accommodation is of a decent standard but the food has to be seen to be believed! For breakfast, take a 5/10 minute walk to Maggie Mays on Botanic Avenue and experience the Ulster Fry as it should be, for only £4.95. Have a great time. :beer:0

Cheers Polly thats a great help and we are on room only at the hotel so will be in need of an Ulster fry after a heavy night in the pubs you mention. I hope they hotel is ok not worried about the food we dont intend to eat there. Really looking forward to it0

The hotel is fine, honestly. I booked a group of my colleagues into it around this time last year and insisted they show me several rooms, not just the one or two best ones hotels keep to show you and then you end up with something inferior. The manager was really proud of the place and I begged him to give up after he showed me 11 rooms! Lovely inside and really clean. I'm staying there myself on Saturday night - only £50 for a double room (breakfast included !!)0

Yep i can also recommend the Ulster fry in Maggy mays! by far the best in Belfast.
Depending your age i can recommend the Queens Students Union on a Saturday night for some clubbing at Shine. Then theres the Beach club at the Odyssey, M Club just up the road from the Days Inn. Renshaws and Dukes are also nice bars and quieter at teh weekends when the students are at home.:: No Links in signatures please - Edited by Forum Manager ::0 -
If yous are over 21 Precious in the Odyssey is a good night out!
For a good start to your night, why not go to a Giants Match, always good fun!
Hope you enjoy belfast

The Giants don't have a home game that weekend by the way.0

Just one small point to remember - when you walk out of the hotel entrance, do not turn left! Always head to the city centre, ie go right or get a taxi.0

Go to Irena & Nans, Bar Bacca & La Lea all good spots behind Robinsons 2 bars & 1 club with 2 for 1 on thurs + fri nights0

If your going to take in the city sight seeing bus, leave it until Suinday as not much happens in the city on that day. Also, take a pint in the crown bar on Friday night @ 7pm and wave to all of us on the webcam :http://www.crownbar.com/webcam.asp#0

Here's some of my recommendations...
The Botanic Inn
22 – 27 Malone Road
BT9 6RU
...based near Queens University of Belfast and just under half an hours walk from your hotel, or about £3 in a taxi. Nice pub, great atmosphere almost any time of the day and any day of the week. The pub grub is nice enough and reasonably priced as well. Gets really packed at night though some like this others don't.
The Potthouse
1 Hill Street
Belfast
BT1 2LB
Based in the City Centre, could walk to it in under half an hour, again probably best just getting a taxi. Not much of an atmosphere during the day but goot trendy wee spot to go to on a thurs, fri or sat night.
The Apartment
2 Donegall Square West
(Beside the City Hall)
Could walk to it in 15 mintues. Another trendy bar which also does nice food.
Café Vaudeville
25 – 39 Arthur Street
BT1 4GQ
Could walk to it in 20 minutes. One of Belfasts newest trendy night spots. I haven't been to it myself but have heard the food is really nice.
The Odyssey is a place you'll have to check out also. Plenty of bars and eateries in it. Will have to get a taxi to it though, it's a good 45minutes walk from your hotel. Also a good idea to book a taxi in advance on the way back. https://www.theodyssey.co.uk
Bishops in Shaftesbury Square is a good place to go to for fish and chips, burgers etc. It does take out or sit in. Could walk to it in 10 minutes.
There are also plenty of coffee shops/cafes up Botanic Avenue, 10 minutes walk away.
I've let you know walking times and gave addresses and postcodes in case you have a map of Belfast and decide to walk to any of these places.
Hope this helps!0
