trying to record audio using roxio easy creator but only get the choice of recording through mic want to record the radio through an online streaming

I just connected the mic port to the headphone port and it recorded just great. lol The cable i used one one like u get on speakers and is call a 3mm jack.
But the only thing is that you cant hear what you are recording,as the speakers are disabled...but if u have a vostro laptop eg the 1400 (im getting one in a few days) it has 2 headphone jacks so u can plug a set of headphones in
