Hi just a quick question, I ordered these tickets coz my OH loves his cars but the only thing is hes now saying we need to book somewhere to stay overnight. Are the tickets entry for both days? or just valid for one.

Mite make it expensive with a hotel booking as we're getting marriied on 27th May we will be really skint that weekend.

Hi tickets are valid for both days.....I,ve just booked into a travelodge about 10-15 miles from the track, £39.00 for the night :T I thought that was a excellent price for 4 of us.

    p.s. thanks to o.p.

If your 5 year old isn't a child that gets easily bored and will just sit with you then yes, I'd say its suitable for them. There are alot of children go but they seem to get bored and are running around all over the place which is ok but that means you have to keep an eye on them and then can't enjoy your day out IYKWIM.
I'd definately recommend taking deckchairs and your own food and drink. Food and drink is catered for but IMO is expensive.

juno commented on needing earplugs/defenders for your little one. I think they will only need these when the F1 car is on track as that is very loud but I would say take them just incase as alot of the noise depends on where you sit. We sit quite far back from the track so it isn't too bad.

I can't tell you much about what to expect from the day even though I have been for the last 2 years because I stay sat in my spot and don't wander around. :D What I can tell you is it follows a program of warm up/sighting lap, race then a little while before next warm up/sighting and next race. If a race gets stopped for bad weather or an accident you can be waiting quite awhile for the next race. They break for dinner for about an hour. Also somewhere in the program of racing the F1 car is out on track for a few minutes and usually they have a few laps of Renault historical racing cars. If you look at one of the links it tells you what Renaults are racing, Megane Sports, Clios etc.
I *think* there are stalls and a funfair and also there is usually an area where you can go look around the race cars.

I love going as I can just watch cars racing round a track, thats enough for me to enjoy myself. (I'm easily pleased :D )

From memory the tickets are valid for both the Saturday and the Sunday. We only go on the Sunday as like you say, staying over can get expensive. I believe the Sat is qualifying day and Sun is race day.
