Corrupted background

Hi, my laptop is poorly, the display seems to be corrupted. It doesn't change when you move the lid. I have tried many things culminating in a full system restore today, nothing has worked. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas? I'm not very technical.

Just thought, maybe it appears normal here? Lol dont know. It's 8 days out of it warranty, how annoying is that! Any ideas would be appreciated before I take it in for repair tomorrow.

Ah I was worried that would happen. It's hard to describe, the colours flicker, where 2 colours meet, they meet as a load of lines. Its blurred and the fonts are all chunky and fuzzy. Its like the resolution is wrong but I've checked that and it makes no difference.

plug a real monitor into the lappy, see if there's the same problem. i'd suggest the display driver (you've done a full system restore, so not that) resolution (checked) colour depth (v. unlikely to be an issue) or its broken
