Hi
Well Ive slept on it and still no wiser. Dont know what to do. Debt for the rest of my days but my own home. Or rent in this house that feels nothing like home, be debt free and live. What a choice eh? Would someone wave a magic wand please and make it all go away. Thanks to all of you for your hugs and support dont know what we would do without you all. Please keep posting for me and iwill do the same.

I would go the br route if i was in your shoes to be honest, the rented home will begin to feel like home soon i promise :A I owned my house for 8 years before going br and moved into a hell hole of a area(trust me its bad) but its with the local council as we couldnt afford private, but as soon as those doors are shut i can forget whats going on outside, been here a month or two now and after some decoration its looking pretty smart if i do say so :j
Remember once your br and the debts have all gone you can rebuild your life and no one is saying you have to stay in that house forever :-)
I found the release from the stress of debt great and one day i will own my own home again

I'll try but don't think it'll work
I'm not someone who can really relate to your situation, I tend to move every 2 years or so so apart from my parents home i've never been settled.. one thing I do notice even moving that much, is that every place i've lived in has problems, different creaky floorboards, noisy neighbours, lack of soundproofing, rubbish decorating etc etc
I can't really help or advise i'm afraid but just wondered if part of the reason you don't like the place you're in now is because no part of it is yours? Can you really see no way of "personalising" it and making it more homely? Thats what i tend to do, have the same "ornaments", for example, in every house just in different places.:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -
Wouldn't it be easier to sit tight for six months and spend time researching where you do want to live? Other things will get sorted over this time and then maybe you can reassess whether you do need to move again and won't lose the deposit you have paid.

Hi all
Been on phone again to mortgage and SL, dont know why we bothered basically one months help, fat lot of good that will do, then they will take legal action. Told them to stuff it up their jacksy (soz about spelling). Staying in rented and going BR they will be sorry not us.
Cavalier attitude from now on I think SOD em all.

hi
thank you love the wand like you said its not working though.LOL
thank you for your message. I dont know why I dont like it, it just dosnt feel like home. It is strange if I was to buy another home this would probly be like the one I would buy, it is really nice but something missing. Maybe this feeling will disappear when our debts are gone and we can live again. The house is very similar in layout to my own home, apart from this is a house. Ive got all my furniture and ornaments here apart from new rug. Even carpets and decor is the same at our bungalow.0 -
HI PERSONALY I WOULD AGREE, SOD THEM ALL.....:D
At theend of the day, surely a life with no debts and the chance to move on and rebuild your life is better. I lost my home, an had to go into council accomodation. Hated the area as it was sooo remote, it was 1/4 mile to the end of the road, but i did a mutual exchange and now live round the corner from my parents. The house needs a lot of decorating etc, but with me being BR i am now debt free and i am determind to beat my depression and start a new life for me and my kids here.:j Sorry about the rambling but i promise things will be better, may be not tomorrow but within a few weeks.
Good Luck with the house, hope you feel better about living there soon.

I realised the small print after I posted that pic

*Actual product does not twinkle
.. well if i'd seen that beforehand....
One thing I will say is, like cinderbrook said, if after 6months or a year you feel you just haven't settled and really don't like it you can move again with no restrictions .. when there's a couple of months left on your contract have a look around and see whats out there. I know its easier said than done and it's a bit more of an upheaval when there's two or more people involved but no harm in looking even if you decide there's nothing out there.:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -
