Cromore Halt in Portstewart is a restaurant with a small amount of accommodation. I have stayed there twice now and the accommodation is of a very high standard but with the bonus of a decent evening meal. The triangle area (Coleraine/Portrush/Portstewart) is so popular with tourists, you can do the rounds of a number of places in the evening before you get anywhere to eat. If you do go to the Cromore, remember to pre-book your evening meal as the staff don't seem to mention that it is necessary, and you can get caught out (as I did :() Oops! Almost forgot the tel no 028 7083 1919

Which campus accommodation is she staying in?

I've stayed in both - Halls Of Residence on campus and across the road from the University at Atlantic Court/Cromore Court. Halls Of Residence supply bedding and this is changed once a week for you.

If she's staying up at weekends - a free bus runs from the Halls of Residence to Tesco every Saturday afternoon - well it did when I was there anyway! There's a Vivo shop on campus as well.

It's a good move staying at University lodgings for your first year - she'll get to meet loads of new people.

What course is she going to do?

I've stayed in Cul-Erg B&B on Atlantic Circle in Portstewart. Lovely peaceful accommodation and the owners are lovely too.
