Hi Everyone,

Firstly thanks for reading my post.

www.justgiving.com/chrisgotts

What am I doing ?
I, along with 26 work colleagues, will be attempting to cycle almost 140 miles from Workington on the West Coast of England to Tynemouth on the North East Coast on the 7th,8th and 9th of June 2008.
Why ?
Well until last week (6th April 2008) I had not been on a bicycle for about 17 years.
I'm way overweight and think an increase in physical activity is long over due.
Last April I quit smoking and as it is almost a year (at time of writing) I decided I needed a new challenge.
I have lost a number of close relatives (some very recently) through cancer so I would like to be able to show my support and raise much needed funds for a very worthwhile cause.
Your Help.
We have all set ourselves a realistic minimum target of £100 but I have set myself a target of £300 and if you can help me achieve it (or preferrably smash it) I will be eternally grateful. Regardless of how little or how much you can afford, anyting is gratefully received. If 1000 people sponsor me 10p each that's £100 for Cancer Research UK.
You can keep updated on my training journal and fund raising on my facebook profile so if you use it, feel free to have a look .

I have set up a justgiving site so that all monies raised goes directly to the charity

Thanks in advance

Chris
